Taupo – Friday 11th May: Starlight Cinema – 8pm
Lights, Cameras, BIKES!
Here we go Taupo! Come on down earlier and mix and mingle before moving through to the Cinema at 8pm.
What’s the Big Bike Film Night all about? Sharing the best cycling short films from around the world with you- our audience.
Showcasing our 2018 collection of movies that have everything a cycling-centric audience could want- action, drama, humour and plenty of inspiration; the evening is going to be unashamedly, unequivocally, and utterly Bike-alicious!
Our treasure chest of stories includes… a journey across the harsh desert landscapes of Oman mountain bike touring, a New Zealand female road cyclist who believes in the power of bicycles, an attempt to beat the record for the longest continuous bike ride in a single country (Canada) on a single speed fixed-gear bicycle, the remarkable story of an American Cellist who challenges the notion of limitations by travelling over 6,000 kilometres by cargo bicycle, Kiwi BMX riders with a passion to see the youth of today succeed, and double trouble with twin uni-cyclists strutting their stuff ALL in the mix.
These short films are a great reminder of why we love to ride our bike; with stories that captivate us, stories that make us think and most importantly of all- stories that inspire us to get on a bike. Tales of character, soul, hope, love, discovery, challenge, courage, triumphs over adversity and much much more.
SO…listen to the voice inside you; it’s telling you to go. Grab your mates, grab your tickets, GO ON… grab your bike and come along for the ride!!
ALL BIKES. ALL TERRAINS. ALL GOOD.
