Wellington ‘Cycle Chic’– Thursday 6th April : 7:00pm screening #2

A sister act for the Big Bike Film Night- ‘Cycle Chic‘ 2017  to entertain bike lovers young and the not so young as part of the fantastic New Zealand Bicycle Film Festival. Our last screening in Wellington is on Thursday 6th April at the inspiring Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision.

Doors open at 6:45pm and kicks of at 7:00pm.

With a collection of short and expressive short bike films helping to inspire, encourage and celebrate women who love to bike.

Emerging and established independent film makers form the ‘Cycle Chic’ collection with stories covering amongst them -a bike store owner with a unique point of difference, the remarkable story of Bike Frame Builder Georgena Terry, an Urban planner whose big dream is to have a cycling lane in her city (easier said than done -it’s in East Africa), female bike riders and their fixations with riding fixed gear, a journey by bike where love and adventure come together, a look at the World Naked Bike Ride from the eyes of an animator, and a moving story on courage and how a bike can empower people.

This ambitious project has been three years in the making and highlights short bike films with a different theme but similar to the Big Bike Film Night. Here’s to the ladies but both genders will connect with and enjoy this programme of films. EVERYONE should see this -ALL AGES & GENDERS WELCOME!!
